A bit more info about the venue itself: It's actually two rooms in one. The theater itself seats 525 and is not yet operational, but the Wurlitzer Room is currently housing shows; it holds 250+ and there's food and a bar as well.
The next fundraising "reconstruction weekend" is on June 22-24, with events throughout all three days. Mimicking Birds play on Friday, June 22, and the Alialujah Choir and Josh & Mer play on Saturday, June 23. There's a full breakdown of the weekend's events on Bob White's site.
These reconstruction weekends will be a great chance to not just support the venue's rehabilitation, it's also an opportunity to see the venue as it makes its transformation back into a beauty. The idea of a salvaged, fully functional multi-use venue—Bob White intends to host music, film, and theater events—on SE Foster is an incredibly exciting one.
