Portland Director Goes NOLA for Theresa Andersson

Posted by Ned Lannamann on Fri, Jun 8, 2012 at 12:59 PM

Last Saturday at the Mission Theater, Theresa Andersson premiered her new video for "Street Parade," and while it was shot in Andersson's hometown of New Orleans, it was directed by Portland director Alicia J. Rose. As you can see above, it bears Rose's trademark, dreamy style, aided in no small part by the filming location: the constructed artist shantytown of sorts that's called the Music Box—the village was built by artists and inventors from salvaged material, and it's actually about to be dismantled, meaning that the video captures the place before it disappears into the ether forever.

Rose also took some beautiful behind-the-scenes photos of the video shoot, which you can check out over on the Dithyrambalina blog. (That is a fun word to type.)
