COULTON—Give one listen to the funny, sad, sweet, geeky songs of Jonathan Coulton and you'll understand why he became an internet phenomenon. Attend just one of his live shows and you'll... well, I am not sure, exactly, other than have an excellent time, which everyone does at them, because they are great. EH
w/John Roderick; Aladdin Theater, 3017 SE Milwaukie, 9 pm, $25, all ages

SAM ELLIOTT VS. CLINT EASTWOOD
—Two fantastic westerns finish big-screen runs in Portland tonight: The Academy has 1993's kickass Tombstone, starring Kurt Russell, Val Kilmer, Bill Paxton, and Sam Elliott, while the 1968 Clint Eastwood flick Hang 'Em High is at the Laurelhurst! This is a tough decision. Either way, you win. EH
Tombstone at the Academy Theater, 7818 SE Stark, 9:10 pm, $4; Hang 'Em High at the Laurelhurst Theater, 2735 E Burnside, 9:20 pm, $4
