Though they may bear the labels "Snob Hill" and "Trendy Third" (though some rad, well worth visiting local shops—Souchi, Reveille, The Pop-Up Shoppe, etc—are holding strong against invasive corporate entities), the businesses on Nob Hill and NW 23rd are scoring likability points with this year's annual summer sidewalk sale, to which they are injecting the ice breaking magic of dogs. Dubbed the "Dog Days of Summer," this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday will see the shop- and restaurant-heavy neighborhood energized by not only the usual slashed prices and dining incentives, but a slew of adoptable dogs, slobbery photo ops, and pet food samples. So if somebody needs their walkies this weekend, consider strapping on the harness and heading to points Northwest. Hop over to MOD for info on participating businesses.
