I Love This Marriage Equality Graph

Posted by Sarah Mirk on Wed, Jul 11, 2012 at 12:59 PM

The Center for American Progress put together a great little infographic about how same-sex marriage is now a mainstream value. In just the past three years or so, people who support marriage equality have gone from a minority to a majority. The whole infograph is below the cut, but check this out:

Polls of Oregon voters last year showed that about 48 percent of us support same-sex marriage in the state. Basic Rights Oregon decided that those poll numbers weren't good enough to stake a campaign on for a statewide constitutional amendment to okay same-sex marriage in 2012. We'll be waiting until 2014—at least—to vote on the issue.
