Tickets on Sale Now to See the Legendary Mark Bittman

Posted by Clare Gordon on Fri, Jul 13, 2012 at 11:29 AM

You've heard about Feast Portland, the giant gastronomic celebration that will take over Portland's culinary world in a few short months? The lineup of events is tantalizing, from a Sandwich Invitational to the Night Market to various classes and collaborative dinners by local experts on everything delicious. Yes, tickets are steep to eat out of the legendary hands of incoming celebrities like April Bloomfield or Gabrielle Hamilton, but the most affordable event is also one of the coolest: just $25 to see Mark Bittman, one of the most famous voices in contemporary food writing, speak at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall on September 20. Longtime culinary voice for the New York Times and The New Yorker, Bittman has written numerous cookbooks, regularly shared his expertise on Food Network, PBS, and NBC programming, and won more than one James Beard Award for more than one talent. Tickets to hear the man are still available here, so get 'em while they're hot!
