Boylesque? Don't Mind if I Do...

Posted by Clare Gordon on Thu, Jul 19, 2012 at 10:59 AM

I missed the memo when local cabaret sensation Russell ‘Russanova’ Bruner was crowned “King of Burlesque” in Las Vegas (where else) last month at the 2012 Burlesque Hall of Fame Weekend. Apparently, that happened. And he'll be bringing sexy back to PDX with this Friday, July 20th's Boylesque-themed Rosehip Revue at the Star Theater... there will be burlesque by the best, specialty cocktails crafted for (and named after) each of Rosehip's core cast members, and a special appearance by “The Burlesque Mayor of New York City,” Jonny Porkpie. Get your tickets here or at Metro Clothing (3525 SE Hawthorne) or pay an extra 3 bucks at the door... should be an entertaining if not downright arousing way to start the weekend!
