The Only Good Part of the TSA is Their Blog.

Posted by Sarah Mirk on Tue, Jul 24, 2012 at 9:59 AM

This week I've been reporting on the trial of Portland John Brennan, who stripped naked in protest at Portland's airport. This has led me down the internet rabbit hole of the TSA website.

It turns out the Transportation Security Administration blogs its best finds of the week. This week includes 26 loaded guns and a six-bladed star of death.

The aforementioned six-bladed star of death.
  • The aforementioned six-bladed star of death.

Check out in June when a PDX passenger tried to hide a gun in a potted plant or the Star Trek weaponry joke or that time someone packed a bazooka round with his cowboy boots or the tips on weed storage:

In a Jam: A passenger at Florence (FLO) concealed a bag a marijuana inside a jar of raspberry jam. As I’ve often said, we’re not looking for drugs, but an organic substance stuffed in a jar of jelly looks odd. Also, a jar of jelly over 3.4 ounces is prohibited and likely to bring our officer’s attention to it.
