Quick, to the North Park Blocks! Sorry for the late notice, but the annual Twilight Criterium starting gun sounds in two hours... and this is a fun one to watch. The NW's largest street racing purse will be awarded to the winner of this insanely fast course, which circles several blocks of the Pearl District around 9th and Couch. Get there early to see the Rose City Rollers strutting their stuff around the course, as this race benefits their excellent work, and nourish yourselves with beer from sponsor HUB and food cart fare. I saw the race last year and it was a blast - a lap is only about half a mile long, so you get to see crazy fast bikers pass every minute or so. It's awesome. And it doesn't end til 9, so really it's not such short notice... right?
The Twilight criterium is at NW 9th and Couch - HUB's beer garden opens at 4, races kick off at 6:30.
