America's Crazy Uncle™ strikes again:
At this point, I don't think that controversial statements from Joe Biden matter that much. America has come to expect them from him; it's another part of the power of incumbency, which is really just the power of familiarity. Most people just shrug their shoulders when they hear Biden's gone and said something weird. But the Romney campaign says their feelings are hurt by Biden's statement, anyway:
“After weeks of slanderous and baseless accusations leveled against Governor Romney, the Obama Campaign has reached a new low," said Romney spokeswoman Andrea Saul. "The comments made by the Vice President of the United States are not acceptable in our political discourse and demonstrate yet again that the Obama Campaign will say and do anything to win this election."
Poor guys. They're being so polite and all they get is nasty politics in return!
