Too far or just far enough? Downtown's Kask has begun a weekly cocktail-flavored deviled egg, the one of which I sampled being a nEGGroni. I want to hate it... but it's pretty delicious. And so obscenely Portland. I mean, I was pretty sure they were describing a Portlandia episode until I saw it on the menu.
The nEGGroni's egg white is steeped in sweet vermouth, while the yolks are mashed up with campari, and served with (dehydrated?) juniper berries on top. More cocktail flavors to come... although this one's name will be hard to beat.
