Nerdy Nudity Coming Our Way

Posted by Clare Gordon on Thu, Sep 27, 2012 at 10:44 AM

Remember when the wonderful community of Blogtown pollers made our own Erik Henriksen go see boobies for his "worst. night. ever?" I get the feeling if it had been Critical Hit Burlesque's upcoming Geeklesque feature at the Star Theater, there would be no illusions of the experience being anything but the best.

Gamers rejoice... this Saturday, September 29th's Burlesque treat is presented in association with the Portland Retro Gaming Expo to fulfill lifelong fantasies of local nerds with a video-game-themed show. "Geeklesque Powers Up:2" will feature performances by Kai Mera, Burlesquire, (my personal favorite duo) Fleur de Sel, the Assettes, and visiting Iva Handfull. All new acts and two shows (first at 7:30, second at 11 pm), sponsored by Ground Kontrol, PortLUG, Billy Galaxy, and Things from Another World, promise fun even for those who aren't fans of classic video games and are just there to see naked people. Advance tickets are $12, or wait and pay $15 at the door (VIP seating available for more than twice that). We've already established that Burlesque shows are a damn good time, so bring your friends and nerd out to Critical Hit's next night of naked talent.

The Star Theater is located at 13 NW 6th Ave.
