Another Portland Book Release

Posted by Clare Gordon on Fri, Sep 28, 2012 at 1:44 PM

'Tis the season of publishings for Portland food writers. Karen Brooks just presented her history of Portland's rising food scene (replete with a release party on the rooftop of the Wieden+Kennedy building in the middle of Feast), Diane Morgan and company offered three new cookbooks at their signing at Powell's last week, and now Laurie Wolf invites you to get a copy of her "Portland, Oregon Chef's Table" signed at Pastaworks on Hawthorne this Sunday from 2-4. This new compilation boasts over 70 recipes from over 60 local restaurants, celebrating Portland's "Golden Age" of food. I haven't read it yet, but this guy likes it, and apparently Wolf (a long-time food editor and chef in her own right) is already thinking about a volume two. This Sunday, September 30, you can grab a copy of "Portland, Oregon Chef's Table" and snacks from the book's featured restaurants like DOC, GrÜner, Little Bird Bistro, and Yakuza Lounge. Also, wine from Estelle Imports. I don't see getting tired of events/signings/promotions like these until good chefs stop providing treats for them.
