Coffee with Kramer

Posted by Wm.™ Steven Humphrey on Fri, Sep 28, 2012 at 9:59 AM

While I think Jerry Seinfeld's web series "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee"—in which Jerry picks up comedians, takes them to coffee, and talks about the craft of making people laugh—is a bit precious and labored at times, the "season finale" featuring Michael "Kramer" Richards is a winner. It's just two beloved grandpas who know each other too well reminiscing over the best, hardest years of their lives, and it's simultaneously sweet and funny.

AND. Richards speaks honestly about his "N-word breakdown" in a comedy club seven years ago—which is very interesting, and heartfelt. Sounds like he's learned a lot. If you don't have time for the full 17 minute episode, this section starts at the 13:45 mark.

It's non-embeddable, so watch "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee" here.
