Tomorrow evening's Moonlight Masquerade at the Bossanova Ballroom has some serious talent going on. Lydia DeCarllo of Vancouver B.C. will be visiting for the October 6th show in addition to it being Charlotte Treuse's farewell performance. Lydia Decarllo is regarded as "Vancouver's International Burlesque Darling," while Charlotte Treuse has been a Northwest staple for years, founding Portland's original Burlesque Collective, Rose City Shimmy. Ms. Treuse will soon be relocating to New Orleans, sadly for local fans. The show starts at 8 pm, with tickets ranging from $10 (standing room) to $25, and will feature live music from Orchestre L'Pow, a Burlesque pit band that serves fans of this brand of nudity in Portland and Seattle. Performances by Madison Moone, Itty Bitty Bang Bang, Angelique DeVil, Hyancinth Lee, and Lady Loaded Guns are also in store. The MC of the evening will be Vincent Drambuie, who has hosts burlesque events all over the world. In case you haven't heard, Portland's kind of a big deal in the Burlesque world, and this show is just one example of the visiting professional interest we earn by supporting the performance industry.
