Hurricane Sandy bears down on New Jersey with 90 mph winds, and what meteorologists are predicting to be devastating results. Evacuations are underway.

Meanwhile southeast Asia is dealing with the aftermath of Tropical Storm Son-Tinh, which left 30 people dead.
