What an asshole:

“I don’t think we lost it on those budget issues, especially on Medicare, we clearly didn’t lose it on those issues,” Ryan to local station WISC-TV. “I think the surprise was some of the turnout, some of the turnout especially in urban areas, which gave President Obama the big margin to win this race.”

Ryan lost in what he considers to be the unreal America. But in the real America, in small American towns like his home of Janesville, the little town where he was born and continues to live, Ryan is a clear favorite. Except...Rock County, which encompasses Janesville, went 61.1% for President Obama. And even though "urban" is a coded word for "ethnic," it's important to note that Janesville itself is 92% white. So much for that urban vote, I guess.

At least Janesville still defends Christian values, right? Nothing urban about that...except...

The Janesville, Wisconsin City Council last night voted 6-1 to approve a measure extending domestic partnership benefits to city and library employees and their partners, the Wisconsin Gazette reports...

You've gotta find a less urban town to come from, Paul Ryan.
