Radiation City's Wormy New Video

Posted by Ned Lannamann on Tue, Nov 20, 2012 at 1:59 PM

Right at this exact moment, Radiation City are holed up in Jackpot! Recording Studio. They'll be there all week long, mixing their much anticipated second full-length album, Animals in the Median, which will see release next year. In the meantime, Team Coco has premiered the new video for the opening pair of tracks from their excellent Cool Nightmare EP from earlier this year. The video, directed by Gonzalo Eyzaguirre, showcases the newest Radiation City member, whose name has not yet been formally announced but whom I will call Captain Wiggles (the band refers to it as a "delicious non-arthropod invertebrate animal"). In this merry clip, Capt. Wiggles and Rad. City worm their way through "Hide from the Night," inching through those verses and choruses, and wriggling into the song's dramatic buildup.

Radiation City play the Doug Fir on Sunday, December 30; hopefully, we'll hear some songs from the new record then.
