BLACK FILM FEST—Tonight, the Portland Black Film Festival kicks off with a 35mm screening of Across 110th Street, 1972's classic starring Yaphet Kotto and Anthony Quinn. And in the coming weeks, there'll be 35mm screenings of Krush Groove, The Last Dragon, Putney Swope, and more. It's a hell of a lineup. EH
Hollywood Theatre, 4122 NE Sandy, 7:30 pm, $7

DANCE PARTY—Bounce on down to the Wonder for Big Freedia's guaranteed fun New Orleans-style sweat-maker. I think you'll be surprised by the Olympic feats of motility the human buttocks can attain. Not to put too fine a point on it, but Big Freedia knows how to get all places moving. CF
w/DJ Beyonda; Wonder Ballroom, 128 NE Russell, 8:30 pm, $15
