Last Minute Burlesque Ticket Giveaway!

Posted by Clare Gordon on Thu, Mar 7, 2013 at 9:59 AM

It's short notice, folks, but surely you can find time in your busy schedules to shoot a quick e-mail with "SHIMMY" in the subject line and your name in the body to our editor here for a chance to win two tickets to this Saturday's "Swingin' 60's Burlesque a Go-Go" at the Bossanova Ballroom. A fine way to spend a weekend evening, safe from the drunken masses (well, the fully-clothed ones anyway), you need to enter by 4 pm today and we'll pick a winner for the free passes to tomorrow's March 9 show and notify the winners as soon as possible.

Featuring Orchestre L'Pow, an incredibly entertaining and interactive pit band that provides the live tunes for Big Time Burlesque's, Saturday's show will mark the debut of the 2013 season and promises performances by the two-time New York Burlesque Festival Golden Pastie Award winner Bettina May. A Canadian-born sensation that was reportedly awarded US-citizenship based solely on "artistic genius," Ms. May will perform alongside local talent from the likes of Madison Moone, Itty Bitty Bang Bang, and Nina Nightshade, MC-ed as usual by the tremendously entertaining Vincent Drambuie. A pre-show "cocktail soiree" begins at 7 pm, replete with 60's lounge mashups spun by Deejay Reigh Lee and cheap cocktails from sponsors Drambuie Liqueur. General seating runs $20-30 with VIP options available, and the show starts at 8 pm. Good luck to you, burlesque fans of Blogtown, and I'll see you there!

UPDATE: We have a winner, thanks for playing!
