Here is the mindmelting video for Sun Angle's "Raspberry," hand drawn by bassist Marius Libman. He recreated familiar images from movies like Videodrome, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Poltergeist, and lots more. Sun Angle are currently on tour down the West Coast, with shows throughout California over the next week.
Here's Radiation City performing in the "Cathedral of Junk," in Austin, Texas. Vince Hanneman, the "Junk King," introduces the video, which was shot on GoPro cameras, and Rad City plays "Lark" and "Foreign Bodies." The group is currently touring the States on the release of their terrific new album Animals in the Median, and they'll be home on June 28 for a show at the Wonder Ballroom.
The Doubleclicks have a video! This one's for "Lasers and Feelings," a song about being in love with a supervillain. It stars Jason Rouse, Keith Baker, Evie Douglass, and Mercury contributor Ben Coleman. The two sisters are at the Denver Comic Con right now, with a national tour to follow. Their next hometown show is June 28 at LeakyCon.
We're keeping it short and sweet today, so last up is Unknown Mortal Orchestra's new video for "From the Sun," the opening track off their most recent album II. Directed by The Comedy's Rick Alverson, it depicts a fellow (willingly?) taped to a chair as a group of people perform both awful and pleasurable activities upon him. UMO have some upcoming dates in the Pacific Northwest, but no Portland show until MusicfestNW in September.
