A few years ago Planters made headlines when it gave Mr. Peanut a makeover and a new voice (Robert Downey Jr.).

Today the company announced Saturday Night Live alum Bill Hader is taking over as the monocle-loving mascot... Hader's voice will be featured in a new batch of ads and over at www.ineedsomeenergy.com, a viral site that promotes the company's new energy mix.

Robert Downey Jr. was Mr. Peanut? I'm not exactly sure how I missed this, but maybe it happened during my goofball blackout of 2008? DID YOU PEOPLE KNOW THIS AND IF SO WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME???
