Feel Like a Smart Person with Hari Kondabolu on Sunday Night

Posted by Temple Lentz on Fri, Jul 12, 2013 at 2:28 PM

Have you heard of Hari Kondabolu? If you have, you know as well as I do he's one of the smartest, funniest comedians working today. If you haven't heard of him—he's one of the smartest, funniest comedians working today, and he's one of the writers on Totally Biased, one of the best goddamn shows on television today.

He's doing a one-night-only show at Helium this Sunday at 7:30, and you should do yourself a favor and go see it.

Kondabolu's jokes are sharp, anti-racist, anti-classist, feminist deconstructions of of everything hypocritical about America and the world. Sure, that might be kind of an acquired taste, but once you acquire it it's fucking delicious, so just go with it, OK?

I don't know about you, but this Friday afternoon is just killing me. So here are a bunch of Hari highlights to make it a little better.

Hari Kondabolu's feminist dick joke.

On the Spelling Bee (or, Indian Super Bowl):

If these work for you, get to Helium on Sunday night. It'll be a great show, and you'll be able to feel like you did something with that fancy Liberal Arts degree your parents paid all that money for.
