Album Streams and Other Things

Posted by Ned Lannamann on Tue, Oct 8, 2013 at 9:29 AM

Good morning, local music news!

Red Fang's new opus, the appetizingly titled Whales and Leeches, is streaming on full over on Pitchfork this week, giving you a chance to hear the entire album one week early. Listen.

Grails' newest full-length, Black Tar Prophecies Vol. 4, 5 & 6 is streaming on Spin. It's a wildly beauteous collection of genre-defying music, featuring rare and new material from the Portland outfit. Listen.

• [UPDATE!] Stream the splendiferous new double-disc Neo Boys comp from K Records, a comprehensive history of the seminal all-girl Portland punk band. You'll be able to read plenty about Neo Boys in this week's issue (out tomorrow), but for now you can hear it all on Bitch Media. Seriously, listen.

Broken Bells, the collaboration between the Shins' James Mercer and Danger Mouse, has released this teaser for their upcoming second album, After the Disco, which is due out in January. Holy Bee Gees. Watch:
