Matt Zoller Seitz, Wes Anderson, and Powell's

Posted by Erik Henriksen on Mon, Jan 20, 2014 at 11:43 AM

Heads up, film geeks: Next month, on Feb 23, New York Magazine and Vulture writer Matt Zoller Seitz will be coming to Powell's to talk about Wes Anderson. It's to promote Seitz's fancy-pants The Wes Anderson Collection, a coffee table book that's designed exactly as immaculately as you'd expect a coffee table book about Wes Anderson to be.

Based on Seitz's 2009 video series Wes Anderson: The Substance of Style, it's an impressive-looking book that I have yet to read (since none of you deadbeats bought it for me). HOWEVER! We'll be reviewing the book in the Mercury closer to Seitz's appearance—and in the meantime, it might be a good idea to check out The Substance of Style to get ready. They're all posted here, and the first one is below.
