Oh, it's the first sign of Spring: After the barren landscape of the January calendar and the citywide post-holiday retail purge, the fashion and retail event scene is starting to exhibit a pulse. Behold the first week in 2014 when I can scrape together my three-item minimum for a blog notice of this sort:

—First! You may have encountered Lavenda Memory in one of her various guises—I first met her as a photographer, though she's also a model, actress, and blogger. Lavenda's Closet is where she documents her daily outfits, and this Friday she's throwing a huge party to celebrate the launch, along with a new YouTube channel. It might be kind of a weird scene, but the people watching will be amazing. There'll also be live music by Lina Lamont, a photo booth (of course), and a raffle prize worth over $1k in local shopping. —Third! Jet has an annual tradition of hosting a Superbowl party/sale, with 20% off storewide, wine, and, frankly, there's plenty of time to take advantage in addition to putting in a few hours in front of a tube while inhaling chili and queso.
