Today in "Hurrah!": Jonathan Banks Joins Better Call Saul Spinoff Full Time

Posted by Wm.™ Steven Humphrey on Tue, Jan 28, 2014 at 9:59 AM

My dream is coming true! Veteran actor and Breaking Bad favorite Jonathan Banks (AKA Mike Ehrmantraut) is joining the AMC spinoff Better Call Saul as a series regular, where he'll be shady lawyer Saul Goodman's (Bob Odenkirk) right-hand man. From Deadline:

The prequel series, slated to debut on AMC in November, will chronicle the evolution of Saul before he ever became Walter White’s lawyer. The deal with Banks means that Saul will have his trusted private investigator/fixer Michael “Mike” Ehrmantraut by his side. Banks was a regular on Breaking Bad and played Ehrmantraut for 2.5 seasons after being introduced in the drama series’ second-season finale.

Hurrah! This series is shaping up just fine. And for those who need a refresher course in why the world loves Mike, check out his now classic (and non-spoilery) "No more half-measures" speech from Breaking Bad. Learn it! Know it! LIVE IT.
