Today in "News I almost forgot to post about that is of interest to an extremely small but extremely dedicated segment of the cinephile population": a VHS Swap is going down tonight, from 5-8 pm, at the Clinton Street Theater! More info's over at both the Clinton Street's site and the Floating World Comics site, but the press release sums up the tone and purpose of the event pretty perfectly:

THE FOURTH QUADANNUAL GREAT PORTLAND VHS SWAP AND PUPPY FASHION* SHOW
RESCHEDULED on Thursday, MARCH 20th

Gather 'round the hearth of beloved cinema emporium Clinton Street Theater for an evening of cherished memories-in-the-making with fellow VHS connoisseurs in a setting akin to taking a warm bath alone. Floating World Comics resident Jason Leivian has once again combined souls with New Age guru and brunch server Mayhaw Hoons to provide a relaxing atmosphere where VHS fans can share what remains of their lives in the form of plastic and tape. Will there be refreshments?** Wouldn’t you like to know…?

*Puppy fashion will not be provided.
