Double Sax! Moon Hooch Play Tonight

Posted by Ned Lannamann on Wed, Apr 16, 2014 at 1:44 PM

Moon Hooch cut away all the chaff and deliver exactly what you want out of music: sweet, sweet sax. (And drums.)

And it's not the smooth, silky kind of sax either—no, this is raw, honking, distorted bop attached to dance-parade beats. The New York trio started playing in an L Train subway stop in Brooklyn before garnering acclaim at CMJ and SXSW. They're playing at the Alhambra Theatre tonight, opening for Questlove in what is probably going to be an insane dance party. There's a ton of great music to see on tonight (Goat, Slow Music, Bombino, lots more), but Moon Hooch are worthy of your attention.
