Good Morning, News!

Posted by Wm.™ Steven Humphrey on Thu, May 15, 2014 at 9:32 AM

GOOD MORNING, BLOGTOWN! There's no sense in telling me, the wisdom of the fool won't set you free. But that's the way that it goes, and it's what nobody knows. Well, every day my confusion grows. LET'S GO TO PRESS.

New England Patriot Aaron Hernandez has been charged in connection with a double-murder in Boston—and that's on top of the murder charge that was leveled against him last year. But don't worry! At least he didn't kiss a dude on TV.

The FCC voted 3-2 on Tuesday to propose new "net neutrality" rules—which if passed will really fuck up a good thing.

Boko Haram is getting a bit of what they've been dishing out, as Nigerian vigilantes have been attacking and killing some of their members in the dark of night.

Meanwhile Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan has refused to negotiate with the Boko Haram terrorists, saying he will not exchange prisoners for the return of the (now) 200 kidnapped girls.

Famed radio DJ (and the voice of Shaggy from Scooby-Doo) Casey Kasem has been found in Washington state, after family reported him missing.

The 9/11 Museum opened today in NYC... read more about its contents here.

Former Prez Bill Clinton comes to the defense of his wife Hillary in "Blood Clot-gate" after dickhead Karl Rove accused her of having brain damage.

You've heard of "road rage"—but how about "underwater rage," as in this case where a woman is attacked underwater while scuba diving.

Thousands evacuate in California as nine new wildfires flare up in the San Diego region.

In sports, the Spurs sadly took down the Blazers last night with a final score of 104-82. You held on for a good, long time guys, and we're proud. Thanks for a great season!

Now here's what's going on in your neck of the woods: Hot and sunny again today and tomorrow, but showers return on Saturday.

And finally, check out this amazing video of a hero cat who fights off a dog that had attacked its kid owner (and later attacked the mom, too)! More on the story here.
