The Mercury is proud to sponsor home-grown talk show Late Night Action with Alex Falcone, featuring Merc columnists Falcone and Bri Pruett. It's a funny, well-balanced show, with music, comedy, and legitimately thoughtful interviews with interesting locals.*

This Saturday's installment of the show is technology themed: It features Andy Baio—we recently wrote about his already-successful Kickstarter to relaunch Upcoming.org—and Jean MacDonald, founder of AppCamp for Girls, which is just like the Rock and Roll Camp for Girls, but... for programming! Plus, music from Adam Shearer of Weinland, standup from Zac Toscani, and sketch comedy from Live Wire Radio.

Tickets are $10 advance, $15 at the door—or you can try your hand at winning a pair, by emailing me with "Late Night Action" in the subject line and your name in the body of the email. Contest closes at 4 pm today; I'll notify the winner at 4:15.

Late Night Action, Saturday May 17, 9 pm, $10-15, latenightaction.com

Conflict of interest alert! My boyfriend produces this show and I often help come up with guest ideas. So really I am kind of complimenting myself, here.
