How to Complete That Wes Anderson Series

I'm guessing that the "Wes' World: Wes Anderson and His Influences" series is going to be one of the most popular things the NW Film Center has done in a while. There's only one film missing from its lineup: Anderson's latest, The Grand Budapest Hotel. That makes sense—it only came out a few months ago—but if you're planning on seeing anything in the Anderson series and haven't yet seen Grand Budapest, you should probably remedy that.

Luckily, you've still got a few chances to see it on the big screen in Portland: the Academy, the Kennedy School, the recently renovated Mission Theater, and the Laurelhurst all have it playing at least through next Thursday. (And unlike at the NW Film Center, you can have a beer at all of those places.) Showtimes are here; since it's been playing at those second-run theaters for a while, you might want to catch it sooner rather than later, just to make sure it doesn't abruptly disappear on you. Even more than most Anderson movies, this one benefits from the added detail and scope of a movie theater screen. The part with the fingers, in particular.
