Well, here's something lovely to brighten your Friday afternoon: Portland's own land-based synchronized swimming team, the Olivia Darlings, were invited to take part in America's Got Talent, but had some qualms about the contract AGT would be making them sign—and no wonder, the contract has raised concerns about performers' privacy and decision-making about their acts. So on the day of their scheduled audition, says Minka Wallace of the Darlings, "We just didn't audition and instead did a mini-tour in the rain around Portland. AGT did want us though, called us the day of our audition to ask where we were."

This is where they were, performing at a retirement home, just one stop on a day-long tour that also included performances inside Public Domain Coffee and Voodoo Doughnut:
