—The Karl vonBuck line co-designed by Barbara Seipp (formerly of the Isaac Hers clothing line and boutique) and Kate Troedsson) is releasing the spring collection at host Adorn's Division location. There will be "mystery gift giveaways," food and drink, and shopping pre-orders of the collection. —Seems like all the sudden everyone is talking about Eileen Fisher, so whether you're one of her fanatics or just wondering what the fuss is about, this week Mercantile is hosting the line for a three-day event that sees the minimalist designer throwing support to the independent boutiques that helped launch her career. —No discussion of Italian contributions to fashion is complete without addressing the importance of craftsmanship. That’s why the Portland Art Museum’s programming in conjunction with the Italian Style: Fashion Since 1945 exhibit includes a showcase of some of Portland’s own design talent, demonstrating and discussing their own techniques live in the gallery space.
