I'm feeling the Bridgetown rundown. How's about y'all? It's around day three that you start to feel slightly giddy from the delirium tremens of laffs and cold snacks. But, god help you, you just want more, more, more comedy. One last night and all the beautiful, bonding stand-up comes to a close for another year. I'm already a tinge sad about the whole thing. But carry on I must.

Friday night I saw the best show of the weekend, in my book: The Kill Rock Stars Presents showcase at the Doug Fir with Kurt Braunohler (who I might be in love with), Kyle Kinane, Ian Karmel, and Portland comedian Elicia Sanchez. They were all on fire. Seriously, they were burning the place down. I think Merc correspondent Andrew R Tonry will give you the full recap on that fireball of a show. It's definitely been my favorite Bridgetown moment so far.

Fest ephemera: Janeane Garofalo dresses like a Portlander with her athletic leggings, waterproof boots, and over-stuffed backpack (which she'll tote onstage, an act that warmed my cockles). She's also considerably more laidback than I remember from past Bridgetown shows, and also much, much funnier. Check out Chris Fairbanks' brilliant baby-knee blowout joke, Kate Berlant's rubber-faced circular-speak, Derek Sheen's surprising transgender condiment bit, and quick-witted late-night open-mic host Dax Jordan, who's flying far too low under the radar.

On tonight's docket of entertainment: Neil Hamburger's set at the Doug Fir Meet Me in the Bathroom and Tell Me All Your Secrets at 9 pm. Robert Ham has nothing but sparkling compliments about the phlegmy genius' talents, and much to my chagrin, I've never seen the man. I plan to remedy that situation. Also, I want to check out Baron Vaughn and Scout Durwood at Rotture for the 7 pm show.

See you out in the comedy trenches, Bridgetownies.
