Portland commissioners Nick Fish and Steve Novick were scheduled to visit Terminal 6—the site of a proposed propane storage and export facility that Portlanders have been vocal about not wanting—at 11 am today, but they managed to miss the dedicated protesters in the photo above.

Climate Action Coalition folks were ready to crash the visit that Fish's staff said has been scheduled for months.

Pembina already indicated it won't give up without a fight, though company officials once said they only wanted to come to Portland if Portland welcomed Pembina.

The Canadian fossil fuel company wants to put a $500 million propane storage and export facility at the Port of Portland. To do so, Pembina needs Portland to approve a zoning change that would allow the company to pipe propane over a sensitive riparian zone.
