Now that the Open Season shows have wrapped (check out photos and recaps of Altar, Brady Lange, Reif, and Adam Arnold), let's get you caught up on the news from Portland's design and retail world:

—Kelley Roy of ADX and Portland Made is coming out with a new book (also see: Cartopia, which she co-authored in 2010): Portland Made: New American Makers of the Manufacturing Renaissance. Look for it, and Roy to start making appearances around town and beyond come fall. (Note: I was one of what I know were many people interviewed for the project. Hope I don't sound dumb!)

—Jewelry artist Stephanie Simek launched a new label, Air Line Color, focused on "metals and extraordinary gemstones" designed with a "playful and curious spirit." See the whole lookbook here.

—The Wildfang powerhouse, hot off the heels of the successful #GameFace photo project inspired by the Women's World Cup, is opening a second Portland store in the West End retail space being vacated by Martinotti's at the end of this month, at 404 SW 10th.

—Meanwhile, Agave has a new flagship store on 16th and Alberta called Bluer Than Indigo, featuring the company's own denim-focused line, its sustainable Bluer project, plus vintage Levi's and mid-century modern furniture.

—The Olderbrother line of unisex "eco-conscious, naturally dyed cotton and bamboo separates" has a new spring/summer collection, now available at West End Select Shop.

CobraCult's summer lookbook, "Daisy Truckin'” is out, shot by Amanda Leigh Smith. Check out the full lookbook here, or go straight to the video:

—Another new shop alert: Sassafrassity is open for business in Sellwood with re-purposed, vintage, and locally made home goods and furniture.

—The Machus Private Label is back, beginning with a relaunch of not-so-terribly-basic tees assembled in Los Angeles. They've yet to appear on the shop's site, so take the excuse to stop by in person.
