Here are just two recent shifts to be felt throughout the arts community over the next few months:

Post5 Theatre's Ty and Cassandra Boice are decamping for Seattle. In a press release, Post5 Theatre's Founding Artistic Director Ty Boice and Associate Artistic Director Cassandra Boice announced their departure from the company. Ty Boice has directed and acted in many Post5 productions in the five years he's been with the company, and was responsible for its move into a new, improved space in Sellwood last year. Cassandra Boice recently directed Post5's well-received version of Twelfth Night. The company plans to have a new artistic director secured by October. The Boices will co-direct Post5's production of Equus this fall.

In Post5's release, Ty Boice touted the company's humble beginnings, saying, "Orion Bradshaw and I started Post5 Theatre with a couple thousand dollars and a crowd funding campaign and 5 years later we are one of the fastest growing, critically acclaimed and well attended small arts organizations in the Northwest."

HQHQ Project Space is closing—for now. Via email, the visual art project space's director, Johnny Ray Alt, writes, "It is with a mixture of hope, excitement, and a twinge of sadness that I announce the closure of HQHQ Project Space's doors. I remain hopeful and excited as I announce that the closure is not permanent. We will be taking a short hiatus, but will be returning to provide new, compelling content within a couple of months."

Alt reiterated recent changes at HQHQ, including hiring Jordan Mang as visual arts curator, Will Elder as print and experiment (!) curator, an Alden Rivendale Jones as performing arts curator. Alt also mentioned that HQHQ are vacating their space in the Oak Street Building, and looking for a new spot for future projects post-hiatus. They also have a shiny new logo:

Here's hoping the hiatus doesn't stick.
