The Douglas County Sheriff's Office this afternoon released the names of the nine victims who lost their lives yesterday in the mass shooting in Roseburg.

Sheriff John Hanlin also clarified at the press conference where the victim's names were released that nine other people were injured in the shooting. Previously, he had said seven were injured.

Four victims were treated at Mercy Medical Center in Roseburg and three who were critically hurt were airlifted to PeaceHealth Medical Center in Springfield.

Chris Mintz, 30, is another victim who's being called a hero after charging the gunman. Mintz was shot seven times and lived.

ATF Assistant Special Agent in Charge Celinez Nunez said that all of the weapons were purchased legally, seven of them by the shooter or his family members in the last three years. Investigators also found a flak jacket that contained steel plates at the school, according to Nunez.
