FREE KESHA

As if Kesha hasn't been through enough already:

This morning a Manhattan judge ruled that despite Kesha's allegations against her producer Dr. Luke, who she says drugged and raped her when she was just 18 and has continued abusive behaviors in their woking relationship, under her contract with Sony she must keep working with him. Their reasoning? According to the Hollywood Reporter, she can't "decimate a contract that was heavily negotiated."

She's trapped: Kesha told the judge she fears for her wellbeing if she must continue working with a fucking predator, but if she chooses to continue with a different producer Sony likely won't promote her music. This is evidenced by their shitty promotion of her last album, 2012's Warrior. Either way, Sony is holding her hostage in her current contract; switching to another label is not an option. Dr. Luke brings in more money, so it comes as no surprise that they're choosing to cover his and their own asses.

THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS. Kesha is now being forced to choose between her career and her emotional/physical health. Happy Friday, we live in a world where money and contracts are more important in a court of law than the wellbeing of women.
