Prostitution Thrives While Economy Dives

The New York Daily News reports today that although the rest of the country's jobs are slightly less than stable, the one profession seemingly unaffected by the economic crisis also happens to be the world's oldest. You got it: prostitution. Story here.

I say we address this the similar to the day laborer problem and set up a dedicated "Hooker Corral" on 82nd...

this brings up a serious issue - Portland needs hotter hookers. no city worth its salt would let their working girls get away with wearing baggy jeans and hoodies. c'mon ladies!

if they make more money they can get away from 82nd and 'upgrade' to the swanky gentrification that is close-in NE....
