Taka underperformed massively last year, yes, but a) he puts butts in the seats (how many Japanese tourists did we meet last year?), and b) he scored what is probably the greatest goal I have ever personally seen scored by the Timbers. I'm optimistic he'll have a better season with what looks like an improved squad around him.

As for Higgins: he's solid and versatile and hard-working, and I don't mind having him back on the squad.
