It's more like our version of Voodoo Doughnuts—the thing we trot out for all the tourists who don't know any better (and only occasionally, if guiltily, enjoy ourselves).

And even that can't compare to a good Chicago-style beef sandwich, dripping in juice and slathered in fried green peppers.

(But Alex *is* correct about the denizens. Especially if he was haunting Rush Street or the Clark Street corridor slinking up through the North Side.)
