Attention Portlanders: If you had any trust of the police, abandon it now, and forever.

They just fired a guy who was making fun of Nazis, think about that. Let THAT sink in.

Yet, the guy who IS a Nazi, the same guy that talked about how disabled children at Doernbecher should be euthanized, the same guy who beat anti-Iraq-war protestors with unnecessary and illegal brutality (as confirmed by the feds), the same guy who built a shrine to Nazi SS, the same guy who hid his Nazi shrine with the same agency in charge of police-oversight, the same guy who then lied about it all....well fuck, PROMOTE that guy. Let the Nazi give leadership training to other senior police.

Beating people who are protesting a war an unconstitutional and unnecessary war: perfectly fine, in fact, here’s a promotion! Saying that a guy who is a Nazi also acts like a Nazi: unacceptable, you're fired. These are the standards of Law Enforcement in this town, do not have a doubt: the top brass in this town wants cops to act like liberal-hating Nazis. Also, do not doubt that KRUGER IS A NAZI, just look up the writing by Bob Seaver.

And that's not a "joke about Auschwitz," it's a joke about Kruger's popular perception as a Nazi sympathizer, like all the rest of the texts.

It's hard to say this is even "unprofessional," since professionals who are friends make jokes like this (or worse) all the time.

It's weird how we hold our lowest-level leaders to such a ridiculously high level of accountability, yet our national-level leaders can get away with far more heinous activity with relative impunity.
