Drag-A-Thon already sounds pretty incredible. A collaboration between Wildfang and Darcelle XV Showplace, the 48-hour performance will attempt to set a new Guinness World Record for longest drag artist stage show.
When the Mercury first broke the story of this historic venture, many performers were yet unconfirmed. All the organizers could say was that celebrities—comedian Cameron Esposito and stylist Stacy London committed early—were planning shows and staff were clearing their schedules around the event.
Now we have a fuller picture of what these extravagant evenings are shaping up to be, with a newly released poster boasting appearances and / or performances from: Peppermint (RuPaul's Drag Race), Fred Armisen, Corin Tucker, Carrie Brownstein, Busy Phillips (Freaks and Geeks and the wildly underrated Cougar Town), Frankie Grande (yes, of the Ariana Grandes), Sarah Marshall (You're Wrong About), John Cameron Mitchell (Hedwig and the Angry Inch), Rukaiyah Adams (1803 Fund), Arlo Weierhauser, Peachy Springs, Izhonny, and, oh heck, here's the poster:
Through all this glamour, it's also important to remember Drag-A-Thon is a fundraiser for the Trevor Project, and was created to both make a place for and employ drag performers impacted by the Tennessee drag ban and other anti-drag bills proposed in US states.

Longstanding Darcelle's co-hostess Poison Waters, said this of the event:
"I love the idea of helping out these other queens. Not to sound condescending, but they may not be able to perform in the place they call home. So we wanted to bring them in and say 'Hey, you have a home here.' Darcelle's has always been a gathering space for the community. Let's bring in all the drag queens!"
While the Tennessee drag ban was overturned by a federal judge on June 2, who found it "unconstitutionally vague and substantially overbroad," the need to celebrate and defend queer expression, care, and rights is a marathon (not a sprint). In this specific instance it's a Drag-A-Thon.
Tickets are currently on sale, available in two-hour blocks. They're only $10 apiece, and all the ticket proceeds (after the platform fees) will be donated.
